"Waited too long for processing, ending file"

Half the time I convert, I get the error message in the title.

The error always occurs and only occurs at the end of the converted file, resulting in the last 10 frames being cut off. The number at the end (here 11) probably indicates the number of cut frames.

I see this has been reported before, but nothing has been done about it.

The ffmpeg log snippet is showing really slow processing speeds as its set to run with the CPU and its a 4k file at 59.94 fps. That’s going to be really slow and time out like you are seeing as its struggling to run.

Yes, but:

  1. The Proteus filter on my APU performs MUCH better on the CPU.
  2. The error ONLY occurs on the last frames – it’s very slow but stable throughout the entire file (regardless of size).

A temporary solution is to add a dozen or so frames at the end, which can be trimmed by Topaz’s ffmpeg. But that’s just a workaround.
