Just bought this program. When installing the application, Bitdefender is reporting a virus was caught (Gen:Variant.Johnnie.294791). Scanned the system to see if it was possible it was somewhere else on the computer, but it only seems to find it on the executable file.

If you downloaded the application from the Topaz Labs website it will be a false positive. Notify it to BitDefender, especially if it is the free version.
Sorry but gotta disagree with you there. It’s the developers job to contact any and all anti-virus companies reporting false positives, considering they are the people with hands on source code and it’s their product.
