Video Enhance AI v2.1.1

I can’t explain that anyway. Maybe it’s different between hardware? Idk

Any news on when Artemis HQ v12 is going to be released ? Any chance enabling it with some json editing ?

Do you recommend to upgrade from 1.9 to 2.1.1 version? Are Dione DV you have mentioned better?

So you prefer Artemis AA vs CG. Do you increase frame rate from 15 fps into let us say 25 or 30?

Artemis LQ loses some fine detail like stones, detailed surfaces etc and MQ introduces some artefacts. ALQ also has strange infleunce on a nose of a person.

Just got another Schenkman movie to upscale
Got a digibeta of " Pompatus of Love ", but i would love to see how Artemis HQ v12 handles the footage.

I see. What do you use to increase framerate? I also have some 15fps footage.
Below I also attach a few more 640x480p files if you are interested, I wonder what you think about originals…( I mean from technical standpoint) . If you have some time one day, please upscal them using different models as before (do you add grain ?) and share with us.

Thank you.

Maybe.
If you do not mind, please also check the files I have attached recently as an answer to Imo atar.st
Thank you.

Thank you for contribution. I have also attached recently 3 more files to share with you. I think they show different chalenges for VEAI due to different types of footage. Please look at them, thank you.

For frame interpolation (increasing frame rate) you can also check out Flowframes. Free software that is using RIFE which is extremely faster than DAIN.

Thank you. There is no hurry of course. I appreciate. Thank you for Smooth Video Project info. If many years ago I knew it would be possible to increase frame rate in future quite easily I would record in 720p and 15 fps. Probably now I would have better output quality. At those times I wanted to have fluid footage to watch so I used to record in 640x480p in 30 fps
If you are familiar with the software, if no problem, I would be grateful if you could increase frame rate of my 15 fps into 25p or 30p.

I do not have many 15 fps files so probably trial wil be enough. Thank you for information. So my footage is not so bad…I felt it would be a shame to share with other users with 480p quality with some noise and artefacts and halos… As ViktorZ3008 mentioned, bitrate is high for such a low resolution. I have some family footage that is why I ask you ( I mean VERY helpful members of the forum) for help how it improve quality of some old footage.

Thank you,.

I’m using 2.1.1 now. I think it’s fine.

I don’t have any experience with fps upscaling. I guess I’ll pass this time. But I think Adobe Premiere Pro could do the job.

I shall upgrade.

I have received some information above on two possible methods to increase frame rate.

I also have 2.1.0 on laptop.

GeForce Experience has nothing to do with it, the Studio driver is the same no matter how you get it. Experience is just a wrapper for a lot of Nvidia functions.

But why do in jepg. It’s a very compressed format. Personnelly I always use PNG. It’s not compressed and it’s less heavy than TIF. Besides, I don’t see any difference to TIF. But it is much better than jpeg.

Another question. Why did you put the Star Trek Picard series in Video Enhance? It is already available in very good quality in streaming and even in 4K.
