wth

Not a single fart faster than my W6800. :face_with_peeking_eye:

Thank you for the bench.

It’s quite sad that AMD didn’t release anything even remotely close to the 4090s performance. Nvidia needs competition.

yes its really sad.

I had expected the 7800 xt to be at least 30% faster, but this?!

I was so happy that they wrote that RDNA3 has the matrix units of CDNA1, unfortunately you see nothing of it.

I am information-technically into this topic since 2016, observes each GTC of Nvidia, there one must notice nevertheless that AI is a large topic.

And AMD missed out on all that?

What do they do for a living?

When I think that you can’t find any benchmarks for AI software in the photo sector, but that AI is almost everywhere in this niche, but hardly anyone tests it.

A comment from Topaz Labs a while ago suggested that they were advised, by AMD, to not use the matrix units/AI processors in RDNA3 until… something. I can’t remember what exactly.

If this is still true, then TVAI won’t be using the Matrix units on RDNA3, and so any performance differences between RDNA2 and RDNA3 will come from generational changes to the general compute part of the GPU, change to core count, and clock speed.

What is the syntax to format the benchmark results? When I post, there is no formatting, the text all screwed up.

I just right click in the reply box, then selct “paste”. (First I click “copy” from the benchmark screen when it is done running and shows the results.)

The format should not need any changes. “Copy” button in the benchmark screen. “Paste” in the reply box on the forum.

Remember to keep those
’’’
at the beginning and the end of the copied text - then the result will come nicely formatted in a separate box.

Thanks. I will try that later. I copied from Topaz to Notepad++ to save the result, then copy from Notepad++ to here. Maybe that’s why.

Somehow it doesn’t really saturate all processing units of the 7900XTX. Is the CPU the bottleneck?

The RAM speed also plays an important role in the benchmark score.
Also the overclocking and cooling solution also affect the result.
