Video AI 4.0.X - User Benchmarking Results

With some of the model combinations it gets pretty nuts.

gaia + chronos + upscale from 1080 29.97/30 to 4k60 on my 4090 system averages about 830 watts :open_mouth:

nVidia Game Ready Driver: 545.84 (10/17/2023)

Driver 545.84 WHQL / 2023.10.17 tanks my 4090 benchmark performance. Testing with previews did not appear to be affected but still testing.

Reverted back and I’m back to normal benchmark wise.

Latest - went from 6000mhz ram to 7600mhz ram (long story, there’s a thread)

So, how much of a speedup did you get?

my overlock is all whack so these are using the AI overlocking settings:

6000mhz (30-40-40-96) → effectively 7600mhz (38-48-48-121) for $280

  • benchmark: no material change
  • top-end: no material change
  • bottom-end: min was 6.1fps, now ~6.6-6.7fps

Going to run some long tests. This ended up being a PITA due to stability issues so I’m done for the night.

stats @ 7600mhz 38-48-48-121 on my 8000mhz sticks vs original 6000mhz 30-40-40-96 on 6000mhz sticks

  • the benchmark results are much more consistent after consecutive runs. For example, Nyx is always above 17fps now.
  • upscaling to 4k60 + chronos + gaia to prores 422 HQ during a long job now has a minimum of 7fps vs 6.1fps before

At these speeds faster memory = more consistent performance

Hi, just out of curiosity, your benchmark summary shows 2x RTX4090s.
Does that mean you have two of them installed in the PC?
If so, are both used in the benchmark?
If also yes, can/must I roughly divide the results by two to get the value for one card?

Is certainly somewhere in the insects of this forum, but have not found anything about it.

Best regards

I only have a single 4090 but two show up in the ui dropdown.

Thank you for the quick reply!
The more impressive is the performance difference between the Rtx 4070,4080 and 4090!

Also the price difference is impressive…
