What’s your opinion on using Starlight mini to clean up footage and upscale and then add sharpening of your likeness with other models? Does it work for you as you would like? it’s a chain i intend to use a lot. for betacam sourced footage. i use it after i deinterlace through QTGMC
I think a lot of people do this. I upscale with SLM, then I do “Dehalo” into Hybrid and I apply little bit blur filter on it. Then re-import into Topaz and finish with “Iris MQ” (auto) or “Proteus Natural” + I add “Gaussian Grain” + second model “Gaia.” Grain simply looks much nicer with Gaia as second model choosen…but Gaia also does some denoise and could be too much, pends on source
