The ability to choose a custom size is great, but it resets every time I close GP.
How about keeping the last Custom size / making it sticky?
I typically aim for a similiar output size. Working with different groups of images, some groups need say x3 rather than x 2 or x4. The next group might be different.
I know I can batch them, (sometimes I do) but mostly I need to work one by one.
That only partially works - i.e. when you re-open GP it will default to what was set in prefs e.g. 3x.
But if I click on another resize e.g. 2x or 4x, the Custom 3 is lost and changed to 2 - thus I canât click between 2 or 3 to compare. Frankly that seems wrong - the preset values 1x, 2x, 4x, 6x should not overwrite the Custom value during the session.
Plus how I use the Custom is - I might have one bunch of images that are all the same size / dimensions, the next bunch are different.
The 'default custom in prefs is fine - thanks for that tip (except it is lost as per above), another choice for custom in prefs would be to remember your last setting - i.e. a fixed Custom, or remember last.
That way you can keep it for the next image, and have no need to go to prefs.
Hello again, within the Scale and Resize window, did you notice you can also change the custom Height and Width values, as well as the Output Resolution - PPI value.
I only mentioned the Scale value 2 to 6 as an example
Yes I did see that, but that doesnât help. My image bunches (from same source) will usually have the same dimensions, but often need to be transformed, cropped etc. Set pixel dimensions are not necessary, but final file size is. thus I process the image before I get GP to resize it.
Plus, s noted, the Custom value should not be getting overwritten by the defaults during a session.
Sorry I was unable to help in this instance however, Iâm sure someone else within the community will have the answer or at least point you in the right direction
In the meantime hereâs the link for Topaz Support

Would you mind clarifying your workflow that does not allow the custom export size to persist between sessions of Gigapixel?
Also, what version of Gigapixel are you currently running?
Locally, I attempted to recreate your conflict and my custom upscale amount persists between images as well as sessions when using Gigapixel version 7.2.2.
Hi Justin
Running latest version, usually from within PS, thus each time I lauch GP it is a new âsessionâ.
Problem is not that the custom size doesnât persist between sessions - thanks to AND-Eâs tip I can now âkeepâ a custom size of 3x.
However during a session, the custom size does not persist - If I try one of the default sizes, 2x, 4x etc, the custom size changes to that - huh?- which it should not. Thus I canât compare between my custom size and the other defaults.
Also, as noted l think another option in prefs would be to either allow a fixed custom size or âkeep the last one usedâ. Thus for a bunch (not batch) of images I could change it say 1.5 in the UI rather than the prefs.
Hi Brian, just a little trip, youâre not actually responding to other users replies to your posts.
Because Justin and myself arenât aware you have replied
If you look at the bottom of any message, youâll see the word Reply, click on reply and type your message, then click Reply to send a direct response to the contact, that way the user will be notified via email and on their community page that you have responded to their message.
Because youâre posting a new each time, the recipient has no idea that youâre trying to contact them, unless they happen to quite literally stumble across your message amongst the other posts
