Upgrade to an upgrade of an upgrade

Topaz’ product branding is not clear to me. I purchased the package of Gigapixel AI, Denoise AI and Sharpen AI back in June. I think the package was $159 US. Then in November I got an announcement that Topaz Photo AI was being released, which appeared to contain updated combinations of all of the features of the above 3, combined into one. I paid another $99 for that. Now here we are in January, and I’m being asked to fork over another $79 for “Gigapixel 7”? Can someone please explain all this?

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out.

Topaz Photo AI combines sharpening, noise reduction, upscaling, face recovery, text recovery, spot remover, lighting correction, and color balance, all into one product. Also, the autopilot will help evaluate what enhancements are needed, and this can be manually fine-tuned.

It was created as a professionals or prosumers as a cost effective way to have all our tools in one location for a cheaper price.

As far as the Gigapixel 7 price you saw, that is for customers who what Gigapixel as just a standalone app and don’t require all the feature provided in Topaz Photo AI. You wouldn’t need to purchase that because Topaz Photo AI already comes with the upscaling capabilities of Gigapixel.

When you buy any of our applications, you can use that edition for life, no subscription required. Additionally, your purchase includes a complimentary 1-year Upgrade plan for updates.

After that, you have the option to purchase a new upgrade plan for more updates, or you can continue using your current version of products. Renewal options will be in your “My Products" page.

Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
