Topaz Video Pro and NVIDIA RTX Pro 4500 Blackwell

It seems that, at the present moment, Topaz Video Pro is not really optimized for NVIDIA RTX Pro 4500 Blackwell. I just installed the card in my PC and upscaling and enhancement goes at exactly the same pace as before, with my NVIDIA 4080.

For info, I am enhancing and upscaling using Starlight, from a 576x480 video to 2880x1920.

It takes 23 hours to process 5 minutes at the moment. It seems that the process uses the CPU and not the GPU…

The devs and research team are still working on further improvements to the models and the app for use with various different GPU cards.

Starlight is a very heavy model and will be using the VRAM on your card for processing and not the CPU or system RAM. If you want to send the logs to the support team we can take a look though and check to ensure the app and model are running as designed. help@topazlabs.com

To gather logs, please select Help > Logging > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your reply.

Here is a video to help with the steps of how to collect the logs.

Here is the log for the last process which was successful but much slower than I expected with this GPU…

The team is still working on further optimization for the Blackwell cards with the app and the Starlight models at this time. The logs are being shared with them as well for further review into the situation.
