Topaz Video keeps asking me to update

Topaz Video keeps asking me to update but when i download and run the installer, the only option is to repair or uninstall. I did a repair then annoyingly wanted me to reboot. I re-booted and the same thing it said an update was available.

Yep, same here stuck in an infinite loop where it keep telling me I have to update.

I have two desktop shortcuts, one for “Topaz Video” and another for “Topaz Video AI”. Both of them keep telling there is an update.

Topaz Video says update 1.0.1 when I launch 1.0.0.

Topaz Video AI says update 9.9.9 when I launch 7.1.4.

Topaz have frankly become laughable. So many basic issues and bugs … it’s clearly NOT being developed by a professional programmer and seems to be someone learning to code and has NO QA team to test.

ZERO support and there is no way in hell I’m going to renew my subscription.

Same here. Endless loop. Update package is 282 MB. Options are repair or remove. Both end in a endless loop.

today - it works - no more loops

The update available notification is a glitch in version 7.1.4 of Video AI and can be ignored. That is the latest release of that app at this time.

Topaz Video is the new app and is a separate download and install from the older app. That will be getting the development focus going forward.

A request has been put to the devs to release a possible patch for 7.1.4 of Video AI to clear that notification for users who are still wanting to use that app instead of migrating over to Topaz Video. No word on when or if this willl happen though at this time.

A patch update was just released and it is recommended to do a clean install using the links below.

v7.1.5
