Hi, I got the topaz studio for that high price for a month to test it out.

I started to enhance a video which is 1 hr and 30 min long on my local computer (core i7-9750H, GTX 1660 Ti 2Gbt, 32 Gb ram). it said it is going to take 1d and 2 hrs.

now 3 days has passed and topaz studio deleted everything and reset and now it wants to run again. what the…?

It repeatedly gave AI error and paused and I had to come and click on retry button.

I wasted 3 days to get nothing.

also when I bought, the pricing webpage said, I get unlimited cloud credit, but when I bought it was a sham and I got only 300 credit, which doesn’t do any good.
I am not happy at all with what I bought and wasted 3 days.

7 year old laptop with 2G GPU and a 56k modem no doubt :rofl:

Did you even READ a 20 series Nvidia GPU with 8gb is needed minimum for local renders ?

Did you even READ “Unlimited cloud image rendering” “Monthly video cloud credits” ?

I apologize for not knowing these and for my budget equipment.

anyway, thanks for your comment on this.

If anyone else has a real solution I would be happy to hear. a solution about why it stops and hangs and resets and delete and how to avoid it.

There isn’t really a satisfactory solution to this. The 2Gb vram on the dedicated gpu is well below the minimum requirements for the app.

You might have more success running on just the intel integrated graphics (you’ll be less vram constrained), but it will be incredibly slow.

A lot will depend on the model and settings you’re trying to run.

The GTX 1660 Ti is 6GB, but it’s not 2GB. I was previously running everything except the Starlight filter with a GTX 1650 with 4GB of VRAM, and of course, it was very slow. To test it, first process a short section, say a 5-minute section. If it works, then break it up into sections. The app stutters when running for long periods, so do it in 30-minute sections, say 0-30 minutes, then 30-60 minutes.

One possible solution have a word with the good people at Topaz Support and ask if you can swap your Topaz Video Subscription for a Topaz Astra Subscription

Which, is the online equivalent to Topaz Starlight Topaz’s high end Video Rendering

Simply upload your Video Topaz will Render it for you and send you an email when it’s ready for Download

The cloud credit amounts per month vary on the plan chosen. The unlimited cloud processing only applies to images and not video files.

The system specs you shared are below the apps requirements and our cloud option for Astra or the Express tool might be a better suit for your workflow needs even with the cloud credit requirements and the subscription plan.

Upgrade your PC to match a requirements.

16Gb NVIDIA card is a must. 8-core modern CPU (Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 5 or 7-series) and 32Gb RAM is enough.
