Well, I am pleased to see an export complete after a few failures with recent beta versions.
I will have to look at setting other than auto bitrate in future. A one hour BBC documentary upscaled to 1080P with stereo sound has resulted in a 20.7Gb file. Average bitrate 50.3Mb/s with a maximum bitrate of 77.8Mb/s. I think for 1080P I would like to choose 30Mb/s but the choices on the output menu jump from 24 to 40.

To make something like “psycho-acoustics noise” is in music - to add some randomness to otherwise “clean” image, the perception usually improves a bit.

I think that is what “Grain” is intended for, but I don’t use it in TVAI. If I need grain I’ll add it in Resolve.

When is AVS files supported again ? This is something that has put me off most of the testing of the beta versions because it’s a pain to render out and then test a clip

Well let me just paste the relevant part.

TVAI use a modified version of FFmpeg and offical FFmpeg still not support AMD AV1 encoder yet.
If you want FFmpeg to add support AMD AV1 encoder faster, you better post in FFmpeg forum.

Once offcial FFmpeg add support to AMD AV1 encoder, then you can tell Topaz Developer, they can implement it into TVAI quickly.
