This card will be a problem for the userbase.
All other cards will use 16gb of memory and will not come close to the performance.
This means that creating models for this card makes no sense (actually).
It will certainly cost 3K.
No joke, but just a start. Did you read the comments and complaints about the company? Also Digiarty has several shadow companies and is based in China (I don’t have any problem with Chinese based companies…just when they’re elusive). Have you read their T&Cs or Privacy statement? Do so.
They optimized the models for the 4090 too. But even without optimizing for the 5090, the latter should still perform much better than the former.
I upscaled several videos and the end results is too much frame drops. Too noticeable to be used. I’ve reverted back to 5.3.6 where I believe there is not an issue with Frame Drops. As far as I can read from the community comments forums…Seems like versions higher than 5.3.6 seem to cause frame drop when upscaling.

Optimistic, but you know it might be one new model that still doesn’t do what you/we want and a completely overhauled GUI with stuff nobody wanted.
Well, considering all the negative comments about this new version, it really doesn’t make you want to upgrade. I’m going to stick with the latest v5.5.1 for the time being. For what I’m currently doing with it, v5.5.1 suits me perfectly.

New interface is incredibly confusing. I just want to bring in two videos, apply the same presets to them and run it. As I’ve been doing hundreds of times. And all I can see now is one video, two side by side sets of tabs, a preview that does nothing, and then if I click the wrong thing it kind of resets both sides of the screen. This is insanity.

I don’t think this is the case. There are no specific Topaz models for the 4090.
Any performance advantage the 4090 has in VAI is due to its raw processing power.

Yeah. When an interface works well, why change it? It’s the models that should be improved and optimized. What the vast majority of people here would say.
After that, the idea of seeing an image preview on the timeline isn’t a bad thing. But the rest of the interface should have remained unchanged.

I haven’t carefully examined it. I do know, though, that, at first, my RTX 4090 got barely taxed. Then, one day, it reaches 85-99% saturation (especially for new models like Rhea). That doesn’t naturally imply optimization for the 4090 itself directly, of course. For instance, I still can’t tell whether TVAI uses its Tensor cores.

Same here. Come Jan 13th, I will be without a license for a while, I fear. Between “We finally listened to you,” and “Unfortunately, we can’t replicate the issue,” I think I am done for the moment. I’ll lose my cute Titles, and access to the beta tester forum, but way it is is the way it is.
I also listened to people here saying Topaz is probably a lot smaller than we may think it is. Wouldn’t surprise me, if there were maybe like only 6 ppl in total, LOL. Also disturbing to me, was to hear that most people working on improving their models, have left years ago. As well as someone who noticed they’ve virtually been begging for money, of late, with one ‘super’ deal after another. So, sadly. not on my dime anymore, for at least a year.
