Thanks

Still doesn’t open in the same location as where it was closed.
The scroll wheel on the time line still zooms too much with one tic.

I’m only mentioning these because they seem like easy pickings. They’re not deal-breakers. Just surprising that they’ve survived this long.

I did read that the ram is at its maximum bandwidth.

A Threadripper has a quad or octa channel, depending on model and mainboard.

It would speed up ram bandwidth a bit.

Perfect, you guys can continue on the cloud without improving the models for low resolution videos and we will continue without updating Topaz.

Even users of previous Video AI versions can try Starlight through our new web app!

Can someone verify if the VFR export issue is truly fixed for longer videos on Windows 11?

Did you remove the slyder for lowering the impact of the second enhancement?

Which one?

We have “Recover Detail” within each Enhancement model settings, which is the blend with the input?

Found it, yes it was the recover detail slider.

I thought that there was a slider to lower the second enhancement without changing the whole model.

But there was never one.

Not yet, possibly something we’d add depending on how versatile it is. For now, we’ve seen a lot of utility out of the recover detail slider for input blending

Preview Queue is a good improvement.
For single GPU Version/Licence, we can set ‘Max Processes’ up to 4 (not recommended). I usually leave it at 1.
It would be great if previews would use an extra process slot.
This would allow me to generate previews while encoding another video.

@tony.topazlabs

Any news on when support for blackwell might be released? This week, next week or within the month?

Within the month absolutely, at least for an alpha/beta release. We are mostly working on making sure our Blackwell update has not affected any other GPUs.

Topaz, please update the main models like Proteus to restore whole human body skin, not only faces.
In both Video AI and Photo AI.
Right now we have nicely restored faces, but the rest of human body is blurry .

I’d definitely recommend trying Rhea, Rhea XL, or the new Starlight model for a more transformative upscale.

It’s not.

… is this for real? is there an actual reason for not fixing this?

We have not seen further reports of VFR issues since 6.0.4 was released. @Ulysse, are you still seeing the framerate shift from 60 to 59.94 after re-encoding outside of Video AI?

Yes, it’s after re-encoding it to x265 in MeGUI. The video file Topaz produces says it’s 60 but after re-encoding it’s 59.97 fps. The re-encoding is needed because that reduces the file size by almost 10x.
