I tried disabling all Pause & Resume +Crash Recovery functions, I noticed that still the preview file is created in the %userprofile%\Documents\Topaz VideoAI Projects\DefaultProjects\Previews path.
I could not set a different path, I would like these files to work on other SSD than the system one

Same here on my 4090, update to 5,0 has NOT improved speed in any way, itâs slower !
I hope people are aware 5.0.0 and 5.0.1 have a serious flaw regarding saved files having screwed variable frame rate not a constant frame rate as raised by @rfpm ?

This is the first release of version 5 and is much better than when we stated of in v4.0 I see that Iris LQ v2 does a better job when zooming in. in the background it seems more has changed than just the interface

Itâs a small thing, but it is kind of annoying how the order of buttons has changed in popup dialogs. I keep automatically clicking close/cancel instead of accept because cancel used to always be right-aligned. Any chance of putting that back? Or do I just need to retrain my muscle memoryâŠ

Same here. Export processed for close to 3 hours, at the end it shows a bit over 2 minutes.
I agree, if itâs not broke, donât fix it. The old blue look was MUCH BETTER looking, this new green one looks cheap and dated.

One thing I feel is missing is AI model improvements for VHS capturing and restoration. The only option we really have to work with that gives decent results when working with these lowres captures is Iris LQ and MQ. And while LQ works great on close ups, it can get pretty distorted on any kind of wide angle or zoomed out type of shots. And MQ just doesnât do enough at all the VHS resolution. There really needs to be something inbetween these two. But more focus on the VHS restoration and upscaling would be a nice addition to see as I think there are a lot of us out there still wanting to improve old footage on VHS.

And just to go in depth more as I have been doing LOTS of tests with this on VHS. I have noticed that the closer in the shot, the better looking the end results will be, but when a camera zooms out to a more wider shot, the AI starts to have less to work with and thats when you start getting the âallienâ effect where things start to get distorted and eyes can get âbug likeâ looking. So maybe a whole new AI model for VHS might be better, one that can be applied differently depending on the shot, as an example when it tracks faces, once they get below a certain resolution size then the AI model could adjust accordingly and not try to âover-correctâ things.

You are doing a great disservice to those of us with slightly older nVidia GPU cards, such as the RTX-2080Ti, by having some important functions that will not work with these excellent cards.
While programs doing Stable Diffusion, are making some really older cards with less than 4Gb of VRAM, as well as AMD video cards work better and faster with newer verrsion of their program (such as Stablediffusion FORGE), you are giving us less capabilities because of our older GPUs, and forcing many of us to spend more money on upgrading our GPUs which are already very, very expensive, often much more costly than a brand new computer.
What this will do is simply to make us reluctant, or totally give up doing the Annual Upgrade and just keep using older versions of Topaz Programs. This is likely to reduce your business, which is not a good move. I have been a customer and supporter of Topaz Labs from the very beginning and have spread excellent word of mouth about Topaz products, and I appreciate all that you have done.
If you agree with my complaint please add your name and better yet complain directly to Topaz.

I Have to agree with everyone. The previous logo had some personality. This new one is uninspiring. Couldnât you just recolour the old logo green? Now that is eye-catching!

The pause functionality is, after all this time in development buggy.
Pausing the same export twice disabled the resume button.
After restarting the application (closing it in this state leads to a freeze btw) the export is thankfully resumed but only at the first checkpoint.
