I just upgraded to the 1.7.0 version to try starlight 2.6 but to my dismay my process of upscale no longer works, since starlight does not enjoy footage that has variable bitrate i always run a pass through handbrake to get a static framerate at a near lossless level (large file output), but now when i attempt to open this mp4 file in topaz it just wont load and sometimes the application just closes with eventlog:

Previously trying to run topaz directly on a WMV file using starlight would result in crash, now i notice it works, i mean if i can run topaz directly on the source footage that is ALWAYS the best, so i guess in this case it might actually be better, but we’ll see… i will let the upscale run overnight and see how its done when i wake up.
Thanks for working on your product, really enjoy the application!
