Topaz Video 1.3.1 always starts with an old video in the frame preview window

Running on a Mac Studio 26.4.1

When I bring up Topaz video there is always an old video showing in the frame preview window. No tabs are open.

When I drag in a new video it shows in the timelime, but when I scrub in the timeline the frame preview scrubs through the old video, not the new one.

If I do an export the timeline video is correctly exported.

How do I get rid of the old video in the frame preview?

When you close the app, if a video is left open as a source that will be the first video shown when you relaunch the app. It is assuming that if you left the project open and that source file in it, then you are coming back to continue working on it.

Can you record your screen to show this behavior and send that with the logs to the support team for further investigation? help@topazlabs.com

We will see if we can replicate this situation to figure out what is going on.

When this happens to me, I removed everything inside the “~/Documents/Topaz Video Projects” folder - this is the path on the Mac, if you’re on windows, look for something similar under Documents somewhere…

Edit: if you’re not sure, you can start renaming the “Topaz Video Projects” folder into something else, so you have the opportunity to bring it back…

Thanks everyone. The solution was to close the project and create a new one.
