Hello,
I have used Topaz in the past - v4.x without any issue.
I recently purchase a one year subscription of personal license.
Topaz randomly and abruptly closes while going through timeline or viewing a 30s preview
Since windows does not generate any crash dump, it is somewhat difficult to categorize this behavior as crash.
[OS]
Windows 11 24H2 (8037)
[Hardware]
CPU: Intel 13900KS
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070 (595.79 Studio driver)
RAM: DDR4 32 GB
I have attached the output of “Get logs for support”
Please kindly take a look.
The logs are not showing a sudden crash, can you grab the system profile dxdiag report, as that should show some more info on when the app and system crashed.
Thanks for checking out the log.
I have attached the addition profile that you requested.
With the older driver (591.74), at least, I can obtain a windows generated crash dump.
With latest driver, there is no thing, so I am very puzzled.
As long as I simply export the video, there is no abrupt termination.
And I have successfully enhanced several long videos without any issue.
So, I don’t think my i9 has been demaged due to Intel’s faulty boost algorithm.
For now, I will use export since I more or less know what each model do.
Performance and efficient are both very good.
If you need anything else for diagnosis, please let me know.
Interesting, the dxdiag report does not contain any crash info to go off of either.
If you get another error and crash, please pull both the logs and the dxdiag report and send them to me via email so I can look into this further. help@topazlabs.com
Are you running any overclocking on this system? If so, try turning that off and seeing it that helps.
I will test more with various videos and send the logs to email if there is something concrete.
But so far export continue working without any issue, and only preview has this issue.
