Topaz suddenly really slow 6th feb 2026

Why is Topaz Video suddenly running at a snail’s pace. yesterday an HD video to 4k took about 1 min. Today it’s coming up with an estimated 3 + hours!!! the pop up to chose the output format has changed so it looks like an upgrade has happened. Can Topaz sort this as it’s making their software unusable

Topaz apps don’t automatically apply updates. You have to instigate it.

There hasn’t been a new version since about Jan 23rd.

Did you run an update on your system or for the app and install it? The app does not automatically update without being confirmed by the user.

To gather logs, please select Help > Logging > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your reply.

Check to see if multiple models are turned on instead of just the upscale option, as this will extend the processing time if so.
