So you only have Photo AI? I also have one product, (Video AI) and I wasn’t offered the option of signing up for everything at $163. I just received an e-mail telling me I only have access Topaz Video. First communication I had received regarding the whole debacle.

Dakota has said that you won’t be billed until the expiry of whichever of your apps expires last, so I think that’s a yes.

Same, the Oct 3rd email was the first I’d even heard of the change. Photo AI was my only active subscription at the time, though I’d had Topaz Video AI previously.

Any way to extend deadline? I only found out about this change via Reddit and could honestly only work with the perpetual license pricing even with the older models. The new rates at their current level of development? Flat out no.

May not get a reply today probably Monday now

So the account page finally says that I have the studio subscription now instead of “in progress”, but I am still unable to use Starlight in the Topaz Video app.

I just tried to log out and back in just in case it doesn’t sync the account after the studio transition completes and that does seem to be the case, it is working now…

I think that some feedback here may be worthwhile.

I feel that this has been poorly communicated, simply due to the fact that myself and others in my local community have only just realised that we have been automatically migrated to the subscription plan without our knowing consent. This has damaged trust.

I do not agree with the concept of renting software. I must therefore inform you that my custom has been lost. Speaking to others in my local community, you may have lost more business than just my own.

I wish you luck as I migrate my business to your competitors.

As an enthusiast of many technologies and hobbies I cannot afford perpetual licenses of everything I occasionally do. Thus I will never purchase any product that does not have perpetual licenses so I guess this is goodbye forever.

Goodbye. The Subscription model may be very lucrative for the owners of products, but it is NOT for people who are on a fixed income. Hence my departure…
