Today we have a patch release with an update to the EULA and bug fixes.
You can find the installer links and full changelog below.
Notes on the EULA Change
EDIT from Dakota Wixom: Adding some notes here to address some questions and interpretations of the EULA changes in the comments. Please see some of my responses for more - I’ll try to outline an overview here for clarity.
The EULA change contains additional language which allows for Pro subscriptions as well as auto-renewals, which have been recently announced. There is no change to the perpetual license structure.
At the end of the 12-month upgrade period, you will still be able to use the software as you currently can, you just won’t get access to updates without a paid upgrade. This is the same as before.
Only the Pro subscription for our products have associated terms which would require you to renew in order to continue to access the software. This is not the case for the Individual licenses, even on auto-renewals
Our payment provider will often run a pre-authorization for auto-renewals. Please note this may appear as a $0 or $1 authorization hold depending on your region - this is controlled by the banks. The authorization is automatically reversed, there is never a charge applied. This is used to verify the card/payment method functions in order to support the renewal payment.
If you have other questions you can ask in the comments below and I’ll try to update this post header accordingly. I’ll use this to build an FAQ and post it on our site later.
EULA changes are always presented in the software at the installer level, and you have to agree to the EULA terms in order to be able to use the software. We also post our latest EULA on our website at topazlabs.com/eula ← this link doesn’t work in the forums, please type it into your browser!
At this stage, the EULA is the same for all of our apps, including Gigapixel, Video AI, and Photo AI

Hello, I just purchased v 3.2.2… but I have installed 3.2.1 (2 days ago), and it looks like also 2.4.0 in March as a trial version.
Should I uninstall everything and begin the install of 3.2.2, which I just downloaded, or just begin using the 3.2.1 that I installed as a demo a couple days ago?
I just tried uninstalling it, and my system shows 3 versions. When I click on the older versions it wants to reinstall them - so maybe they really are not installed.
When I click on the “app” itself that’s installed, it thinks I’m still in demo mode and asks me to pay. I’m not sure how to proceed. Any advice is appreciated, thank you.
“Fix some RAW files not displaying correct camera profile”
Still not fix on my camera. Message I sent from previous update and sent NEF file then
“I only see the camera profile from a Nikon D500 when PAI is used as a standalone. If I import via “plugin extras” from LrC, I don’t see it.”
Unfortunately, RAW files from the Canon EOS R5 Mark II are still NOT supported.
I understand that not all new cameras are supported immediately. But if it is not fixed in this release, I would expect it to be listed in the ‘Known Issues’ section. Or at least an indication that Topaz is aware of the problem and is working on it.
Unfortunately, customer communication is more than poor!
I work in IT myself. If I treated my customers like this I would have received a warning from my boss a long time ago.
And what does “Update EULA” mean in detail? Any Informations about the chnges made since let`s say TPAI 3.1 ?
15.3. Publicity Rights. You hereby grant Topaz the right to use Your name, logo, or trademarks in any advertising, publicity, marketing, or other promotional materials or activities (“Publicity Rights”).
Hmmm, not a word about my images (would be a Privacy disaster for my customers).
So i’m fine with that.
And the probability is extremely low because I don’t have or won’t have a range on IG, for example.
In the EULA too:
“Whether You process Your image(s) via Personal Processing or Cloud Processing, Topaz does not and will not: (i) make any claim of copyright ownership related to Your image(s); and (ii) assert any right to royalties in relation to Your image(s).”
With all the hoopla around this thing with the EULA one would think it could have been a great idea to maybe publish and link to it and explain the parts that previously left a number of people upset…
Or does this already exist elsewhere in the forums?
I just tried to download 3.2.2 - (I was on 3.2.0) . While i successfully Upgraded the latest Topaz Video AI I keep getting this message popup when I try to Update Photo AI
(Upgrade patch cannot be installed be windows installer because program to be upgraded may be missing or upgrade patch may update different version of the program).
I know the program exists because I am using 3.2.0 now. And I am trying to update from inside photo AI using the download icon at the top right of the Photo AI app.
Jonathan, I was just typing that I had the same issue and received the same error message. My work-around was that I installed the previous version 3.2.1 via the website and then was able to update to 3.2.2 via the app.
