What is that for day thanks it is really unforgivable not to release a new version in time
Response from Topaz Labs (Justin Hedrick):
Topaz Photo AI was created to ultimately replace all of the individual applications you’ve listed but many of our users still prefer to have these applications for their own workflows, typically when integrating with Photoshop or Lightroom. Ultimately, it’s a personal preference.*
You are correct that DeNoise AI and Sharpen AI will no longer be receiving updates but Gigapixel AI will be in the coming months, with more information to be released soon.
Interesting
Some images I’ve upscaled in the process are not able to be read in any image viewer. Photoshop tells me “an unknown or invalid JPEG marker type is found”, other viewers just give me a red “X” or “Invalid Image”, or will show me a thumbnail but not an opened image when selected.
Yey Gigapixel and Photo AI is a nice programs but licence it’s a joke.
I believe what ‘Z’ was saying was that they’d only license/update a license if they actually got updates that were valuable for their applications. Vs buying a license on the hope & prayer of uncertain updates (or, possibility of updates that wouldn’t be relevant to their personal needs/uses). I think that seems like a well-reasoned philosophy.
I was not a fan of Adobe’s change to a subscriptions approach. I liked the boxed ‘you bought it you own it’ CS software days - partly b/c there wouldn’t necessarily be features in their updates for me every year & I didn’t buy their updates annually unless relevant to me (vs some graphic designer or 3D/video artist). Now Adobe tends to roll out useful (though often buggy at release) updates more often. My opinions are shaped by that background, but the attitude prevails more broadly. If s/w is not relevant to my needs/practices that’s an issue for me.
A welcome update for Gigapixel would be the fix for the issue. with Tiles.
They really are persistent, aren’t they - with a ton of emails trying to convince us to buy something after all…

Creating FOMO, common marketing tactic.
Obviously you don’t use other software as I have the same from DxO, ON1, Adobe, Affinity, DaVinci, etc. during this period.
I was surprised to see the extended timeframe, but then again, they usually do this ![]()
I have no info yet on whether there will be a Christmas sale or not.
Hi,
he did send me his image, so i could show him how i would work on this image with TPAI.

How about you fix the current issues first. Crashes all the time, new update leaves masking checkered marks on dark areas. How do I get a refund? I paid for a product that works, not a Beta product.
How about you state the details of the PC you are running it on: details should include OS, CPU, RAM, GPU with dedicated vRAM and driver version.
Then, when you say crashes all the time, how are you getting masking checkered marks?
This will give a good starting point to see what your problem is. And, sorry, we are all users here so we can’t give you a refund which you can only get by raising a support request at the main website.
We’re 2 days+ past Monday and this sale is still live! Maybe they forgot to turn it off…

A few others are reporting similar issues in their images as well, so it is not just you. Have you reported it to Topaz support?
I’ve posted this already in the Bug and Issues forum.
I’ll hope Topaz employees take a look on this forum
Probably best to report it, may not be seen on forums, as there are so many other posts.
I’ve now also contact the support directly. Let’s see what happens.
Any update on when we might see a new version with Color balance and Lighting being able to work with RAW images? I imagine the results would be wildly better using RAW data and AI. Although with RAW you can correct the whitebalance quite easily but Im curious how Photo AI would handle it. THe jpg color balance worked wonders on some old photos I have.
