"There was an issue when attempting to export the video footage"

Just get this message every time I try to use Topaz Studio Pro with Starlight

What is funny is that a file is in the folder and it looks like it finished the file, but I’m guessing it still has a little bit left to do like maybe add the audio back in since those files have no audio (even though the originals do).

The logs are showing an error with the export due to some invalid file data on the export file when trying to close it.

Can you try converting your input using Handbrake and then try importing the converted version back into the app for processing?

  1. Drag and drop your video to import it

  2. I recommend going to the “dimensions” tab and under “resolution limit” > none

  3. I also recommend going to the “video” tab and under “framerate (FPS)” > Same as source

  4. Then click “start”

This will ensure that it retains the original resolution and frame rate with the converted file.
