I was lucky to be able to visit the final site for the ascension of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej who was deeply revered and loved by the people of Thailand. This spectacular 50-metre-tall golden crematorium was constructed by the country’s top artisans. Its structure of nine gilded spires is adorned with images from mythology and the life of the king, including statues of his two favourite dogs.
