After I updated this evening to Topaz Photo AI, version 2.04 the images are just not as sharp and clear as they were in 2.03. I would love to go back to version 2.03
You can download any of our previous releases here: Releases - Topaz Community
To troubleshoot, please rerun the installer one more time just in case you’re missing model files and the performance isn’t the expected behavior. Please disable antivirus, firewall, VPN, or proxy that may be on your computer. These are known to block the installer from downloading the model files.
Does this apply (re-installing) if the .cr3 file, exported as a .tif file, is denoised just fine but .dng files are processed very grainy?
I shoot Nikon and have never held a Canon so I don’t know or use .cr3 files or have any need for .dng files I think it was an issue with the model files not loading. I disabled the firewall and re-installed Photo AI and it’s cleaning up the images better than it was initially . But still not as well as the earlier version before 2.04.
I can do better with DeNoise and Sharpen because I’ve had so much more experience cleaning up images at ISO values of 18,000 to 22,000 in churches.
Thanks for the suggestion to disable the firewall and re-load the program
I had to re-write my own Topaz procedure to process these really bad images.
Thanks again, Tom Rains

Tim, here are 2 sample images, showing you what I am starting with. The lights on the baseball field are very poor, old-style quartz halogen lighting where the bulbs contain both a mercury filament (green light) and a sodium filament (orange light). As you can see from these extremes, I capture either of the colors, depending upon the moment of 60 cycles/second that I hit the shutter release. ISO values are not that drastic, but there is a lot of noise in the faces. Topaz Photo AI 2.03 does a better job at removing the noise and giving me a sharper image than version 2.04 does.

Oh sorry for the confusion. I was highjacking your post for support b/c it seemed related. I ended up starting my own post. I hope you get it resolved!
