I just bought TGAI to go with my TPAI so I could get founder’s Status with Studio. Now, less than month later Topaz announces Studio Pro. I’m confused and a little concerned.
Topaz is vague on the differences which one would assume are substantial given the price increase.
Concerned that the non-pro versions will get relegated to “little brother” status and not get the future updates that Topaz implied they would when Studio was initially advertised. Hate to see them left behind so Topaz can milk more customers for the more expensive Pro version. I’m an “enthusiast” that doesn’t have time to do what Topaz can do in a heartbeat, but Topaz is quickly pricing themselves out of the hobbyist market.
This plan is aimed at professionals, studios, and businesses.
Topaz Studio Standard version
This is the plan for solo creators, enthusiasts, and individuals.
Here’s a little information from Topaz
Pro Subscriptions are required for commercial use for orgs with over $1M USD annual revenue. Enterprise subscriptions are useful for large companies with custom needs.
In addition, additional seats can be added for Pro and Enterprise subscriptions only.
The only Pro feature that would be of interest to me is multi-GPU processing, because I’ll probably never own the kind of hardware needed to run the pro-only models at an fps I’d consider usable.
And I’m still kind of cheesed off about the fact that multi-GPU used to be a standard license feature until Topaz made it pro-only.
