This is one of the Legacy products I so love. I have seen others write they can use it on a new Mac. If you’re able to use it can you tell me. how? (it opens but only the “filters” operate and the “Looks” panel as no looks.
I can assure that Topaz Studio 2 does run on M4 Mac Silicon OS 15.5, Sequoia. I am running it and it works great. At first I had the same problems you are having. I don’t remember all of the details, but I know I had to copy and paste all of the Looks and some other files from my old computer to my new one. These files are found in the Application Support folder of your old Mac. To get there on your old computer do the following: 1) In the finder, hold option key and click on Go in the top menu. 2). Click on Library from the menu list. 3). In the Library folder you will find another folder called Application Support. 4). In the Application Support folder there should be one labeled Topaz Labs LLC. 5). Inside that folder you will find a folder labeled Topaz Studio 2. This whole folder needs to be copied and then pasted into a folder labeled exactly the same and in exactly the same place on your new Mac. Remember that the path MUST be the same or Studio 2 cannot find it. Hope this helps.
I had legacy topaz studio working on sequoia but upgraded to Tahoe and now it won’t work…Now I have ts2 which does not COMPARE and it does not have a layering option …NOR can you bring in multiple photos in the studio to manipulate or layer components within,..What a disappointment. TS2 should upgrade it to be able to do what legacy ts was able to do if if it comes with a cost. I do not want the new studio..,it is too expensive and too much program for my and for most users needs. I do not work with videos either so much of its capabilities are not going to be used by me, Please TS …,UPGRADE TS 2 to function with multiple ;photos capability and layering,…
