Stephen King's The Stand (1993) (2160p AI Upscale)

This was a challenge due to the quality of the source file. It’s a 1080p rip, at 5.6gb for a runtime of 6 hours, it could be better, but it’s the best I could find.

Using Proteus Fine Tune, lots of grain was needed to keep it looking natural with the amount of compression reversion and noise reduction that was needed, and unfortunately the grain shows excessively on white/bright colors. Noticeable up close, but it’s not terrible from far away.

With a CR of 24, the upscaled result was 81gb. Youtube’s compression definitely brought it down a notch from that, even.

Using a 6900xt, the upscale took about 2 1/2 days. The movie was 516,507 frames at 23.976 fps.
