I just downloaded 1.6.1. I can’t locally export any version of Starlight. No mini, sharp, fast, HQ or precise 2.5. I used to be able to at least use Starlight in a previous version. I have a Mac Studio, 64 gigs of ram and Sonoma 14.7. Can someone please explain to me why this expensive program never seems to work. Is it my OS and if so, what does it need to be?
The new Starlight Precise 2.5 does require mac OS 26 to be able to run locally. You will need to update as 14.7 is too old to support the models in version 1.6.1.
I can use Starlight few week ago. But now i can’t
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor
NVIDIA GeFore RTX 4080 Super
96GB RAM
What can i do ?
Are you getting errors when trying to process with a Starlight model, or are you getting a pop-up that is reading that your system hardware is not compatible?
If you are getting errors when processing, please pull the logs and send to us at the support email, help@topazlabs.com for review into what is going on.
To gather logs, please select Help > Logging > Get Logs for Support and attach the zip file to your reply.
Here is a video to help with the steps of how to collect the logs.
If instead you are seeing a pop-up that states your system hardware is not able to run the model, that is a UI bug that the team is working on addressing, currently some users have reported that logging out and back in to refresh the authentication token have helped, others started a new project and loaded their videos back in and the message cleared. If you can send the screenshot of the UI interface and the logs that will be helpful in investigating this issue from our side.
One other option is to rollback to a previous release as some users have done while this is worked on. You can grab any of the previous installers from here.
