My attempts to de-interlace DVD sources with version 2 ended very frustrating, so I abandoned de-interlacing with VAI altogether. Now, after switching to V4 recently, I’m amazed to see that things have been improved significantly. Below you see a sample, de-interlaced with DioneDV and up-scaled with Proteus Auto with plain defaults.
