It was raining, and my neighbor, the beautiful brown frog, appeared outside again. He took a convenient position for a photo, without hiding in the leaves. I had to take advantage of it quickly, even though I had a 100-400 mm telephoto lens on, which does not allow for macro photos and the photographer has to be a bit far away to get the picture in focus. So I took a photo of the frog from about two meters away, lying on the wet lawn, to get a nice portrait.
I liked the result quite a bit, except that the more distant part of the frog came out a little out of focus. I tried Sharpening Subject in TPAI, which improved the picture a little, but it was still a little out of focus in the back. After various experiments, I tried Focus v. 2 and finally found a combination of parameters (boost and strength) for each picture, which improved each photo nicely, although part of the frog always remained as if part of the blurred background. Further improvements would have to be done in a more complicated way and it wouldn’t be of much benefit to me; I’m happy with it as it is.
