Shapen AI 4.1 flickers in Lightroom (Mac)

[When I open Sharpen AI 4.1 in Lightroom Classic, the Sharpen image flickers.
Steps to reproduce issue:

  1. In LrC, right click
  2. Click on Open in
  3. Click on Sharpen AI

Sharpen AI has nothing to do with Photo AI, please raise a support request at the main website.

Same problem here after updating to MacOS Sonoma and installing a 5K monitor.

  • flicker starts when AI starts, invoking it from a Lightroom plugin
  • seems to stop after a while–maybe about 20 sec or so, then just occasionally
  • continues if I move the window to my secondary 4K monitor
  • flicker is not rhythmical
  • does not affect the sharpening process or final product
  • if it’s of any value, a video screen recording does not capture the flickering.
