Seagrass was inspired by a film (Five Seasons) I saw recently documenting the work done by landscape designer Piet Oudolf. I was most impressed with the variety of grasses Oudolf uses in his designs and I have been fascinated by the grasses used in landscapes here on the sand spit where we are temporarily calling home. As a side note, this morning I signed up for an introductory class in monotypes. I’m thinking landscape grasses might be a good subject for this effort.
