Hi. I’m a long-time customer and user of Topaz products, which I think are great. I do a lot of specialized photography (e.g., macro of insects) and use Sharpen AI (and even today, occasionally Denoise) daily.
I know you have deprecated these apps, and I see how they are not a great fit with your product strategy direction. That said, Photo AI is simply not a substitute – it is far slower, offers much less control, and is full of features and overhead I don’t want.
Perhaps others will join me in a heartfelt plea to revive Sharpen AI. I would happily pay (again) for a supported version of the plugin.
There are options available, if you only want Sharpening and don’t want the flexibility of Photo AI
which has more Sharpening options and control over the discontinued Sharpen AI with less artefacts and offers the best value for money that’s because, at the end of the day you own Photo AI as you do with Sharpen AI
Topaz currently, offers two Web based Apps solely for sharpening if you wish to have Sharpening only these are Sharpen and Unblur which you can try for free with your first ten images.
Here’s some information and links for both
