Could also be a Firewall that temporarily needs to be turned off for the models install to run then turned back on. In addition to the VPN and ad blocker options And-e mentioned.

I’m on latest Gigapixel 8 update 8.4.4
it’s a new machine and get model download error (ghqv2-v1-fp16-128x128-4x-ov).
this happened on another machine earlier and I though maybe it was my internet speed.
However I now have insane speed and a fresh windows install, so this is just buggy! Starting to suspect they are leaving this intentionally broken to push people to the cloud version.
Really annoying either way though… please fix this!

The solution for this behaviour has already been posted within this Topic however, I can appreciate you probably don’t want to search though Sixty Two Replies to find it so, here’s it is again for you and anyone else who has this issue.
