The Gigapixel ProgramData file in Drive C in Windows 11 is over 35GB and grows everytime I use the software. Is there any way of controlling or reducing the size or transferring the file to another Drive?
You can’t make it smaller, but you can define a different location when you first install the app. The installer asks for two install locations, one for the program, and one for the models. I have both on D: drive.
You would have to uninstall then reinstall to change the locations. It is possible to do all this without redownloading all the model files if you know what you’re doing, but it’s safer to do a complete reinstall.
Hello
Many thanks. Your suggestion has worked.

Hello!
Official requirements state that the application and support files must be together on the startup disk. Alternate configurations risk processing errors or other issues.
It’s worth making a feature request for better model management. Models could be installed on demand, and not every single model has to be installed on the system when users might only use a few most of the time. ![]()

Hello
The programme and the support files (models) are on the same disk. But the disk itself has been partitioned into C where the main programme is sited and G drive with the support files.
So far there have been no problems.
