1.6.1 is the newer version. They reset the numbering system when they went to subscriptions only.
oooooh, wow
mehn, i think this models are to heavy for my system, this new models, been trying to render a 1s preview sinceeeeee, can you guys help me check out this quality, his videos are so smooth and high quality im trying to replicate this, would be so so happy and would make my career better if i can get this TikTok - Make Your Day
That user does a lot more post-processing and editing than just running a video through any of our models. It also looks like they might be starting with a higher resolution and quality video source than just something they ripped or downloaded from the web. The quality of the input source greatly affects the quality of the output and what the AI models can produce.
The Starlight models are very heavy and require a lot more hardware than any of the older models from previous releases of the app. Also, to use the models, you need a subscription, or you can use them via the online web-based tool Astra if your system does not meet the hardware requirements.
Iâm sure the posted sample video had higher resolution, was good source qualityâŠbut in general, described two Iris MQ settings does a simillar denoise/pronounce effect, you just need this two sliders.
If you set Fix Compression too low, Improve Details has much less effect because the compression artifacts/pixel blocks arenât softened enough. If you set Fix Compression too high, the image starts to look unnatural and dirty because the pixel structures become smeared.
If you set Improve Details too high, the enhancement becomes too aggressive. For example, the edges around the eyes become harsh, and hair starts to look like straw etc.
As first step leave all untouched and just increase Fix Compression, make previews, zoom in and watch what i does on pixel structure, increase up to the point where you get much smaller block compression artifacts. Then increase âFix Compressionâ and pay attention to critical areas. Faces are particularly well suited for this because we are trained on facesâespecially watch out for eyes and hair, as I mentioned.
yes, very very true, i also have access to high quality clips, i just wanted to replicate that style or maybe even something better
tnx, ill give this a go ahead, just trying to better my video editing, as im stuck, not moving forward or back, so im trying to get a different kind of quality than the rest of other editors, (trying to b unique if u wanna call it that), so thats why i came here, tnx once again, ill head out with this in mind

bro, when used in football edits, they look to peak, but do you have a style i can try?
i like this style cause its clean, sharp and very smooth, ion know how he makes his videos so smooth, if you have any better one, for older topaz versions, my laptop isnât strong enough for later versions
It is literally none of those. His teeth look like giant sequins, his face skin is textured while his neck is weirdly completely devoid of any skin texture, and his shirt looks like it isnât made out of fabric anymore.
Overall horrific and I still cannot comprehend why you find it so appealing and wish to replicate such horrors.
Something like this output is not just being done from one or a combination of the models within Topaz Video. There is a stylistic aspect going on as well, to shift the colors and with the editing cuts.
The over-exaggerated details, and what most would call hallucinations by our AI models where it is twisting details, adding teeth, and other aspects is not an output that most users are looking for and they can be hard to replicate consistently. In situations like this though, if that is what you are going for, enabling the manual parameters, and setting the sharpen, anti-aliasing and compression sliders higher might give you some of that but its not a guarantee on every video.
The output and result of a video is a stylistic choice for all users, and while results like this are not what most are looking for in their longer form videos, we do see it fairly often in social media short clips with sports and car videos. Getting these results will require a lot of testing and editing.
tnx, you understand, i just wanna use it for short form and i get, it looks very bad and all, i asked for a better alternative if anyone has, but im only getting not so usefull feedbacks, im new to this and have little experience with using models, i just copy and paste, thats y im asking you guys who have more experience for an even better alternative, tnx
