Relight Creative issues | produces different outputs since the last update

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using Relight Creative regularly and have always been very satisfied with the results. However, over the last few days I’ve noticed a significant change in the output quality and, more importantly, in the way the model interprets and relights my images.

To make sure it wasn’t just my impression, I ran a simple test: I used the exact same original photo that I had previously processed with Relight Creative, using the same settings, and compared the new result with the result I had obtained before.

The difference is quite substantial. The current result is not just slightly different — the model seems to behave differently and produces a noticeably different interpretation of the lighting and/or image.

This makes me wonder whether Relight Creative has recently been updated, replaced, or changed on the backend, while keeping the same model name.

Has anyone else noticed a similar change recently?

And, more importantly, has Topaz Labs changed the underlying model or processing pipeline for Relight Creative in the last few days/weeks? If so, could you please clarify what was changed and when?

I’m asking because I specifically chose Relight Creative because I really liked the results it produced previously. If the underlying model has changed, I would very much like to know whether there is a way to access the previous version.

I can also provide the original image and the before/after results if that would be useful.

Thanks!

We are looking into that issue, we will update here if we release a fix for that
