When auto is OFF the selected parameter values are applied every frame.
When auto is ON, parameters are auto estimated and applied every frame. The user has the ability to increase/decrease or apply the auto estimated values.
For example if you notice that the auto estimator is always estimating low noise removal, then you can move the slider to a positive number to increase its value linearly. Setting to 100 will keep reduce noise at 100 and setting to -100 will always have it at 0 irrespective of the auto estimation.
