Problems with Activation for the first time

I was given the Video AI for Christmas and I can’t seem to activate it. My mother-in-law went and bought an activation code and then gave the code for me to use, she hasn’t done anything with it herself.

I’m using a 2019 Macbook Pro and running the latest version of Chrome, with pop-ups allowed. I have also tried using Safari with pop-ups allowed and I have the same result.

I’ve downloaded the app and it prompts me to activate it (see screenshot). I click on the “activate” button an it then opens up the default browser (have tried Safari and Chrome) with the message of “You are now being logged in to your application. You may safely close this tab.” The tab closes on its own, and then nothing happens. Simply nothing. I’ve tried logging into my account through a browser and then try to find some way to activate it that way, but there doesn’t seem to be a method for this either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Raise a support request as it is telling you that you DON’T own it as it is based on your Account at the main website when it is purchased. Ask your mother for the user id and password when she purchased it and use that.

And there are no activation codes so if your mother bought one, it is fake.

Normally if you are logged in successfully you just close the browser and use the application as usual without further issues. If this doesn’t work please contact support@topazlabs.com

Why reply to me, read his post and see the dialog after he tried to activate it.

I love cats … :eyes: In his 2nd screenshot he seems to be logged in successfully to me!?

Well it says you are “being” logged in … then the op says “My mother-in-law went and bought an activation code and then gave the code for me to use, she hasn’t done anything with it herself.”

It isn’t right because there are no activation codes.

Yes, I have read that and to be honest that leads to some confusion to me. how can the login be successful if “being” logged in speaks of a happening in the future? And you are right. I never heard of activation codes for this product.

Ok so I was finally able to talk to my MIL and figure out what happened. She worked with customer support and when she paid for the software she was given a registration code and a link to the product registration page. So I followed the link, made sure I was logged into my account, and entered in the registration code, also called a Topaz Video AI Key. Boom, worked like a charm.

Would like to thank the customer support team for working with a non-technical grandma in her 70s and successfully helping her give me software.
