Anyway, I uploaded a short clip to Astra to upscale using the Starlight Fast 1 (previously precise.speed). After processing, I downloaded the clip, and to my surprise, it actually looked much, much worse than the clip I originally uploaded. Pixelated, blocky, banding - (the clip does settle down and improve about half-way through). I don’t know that the problem is with the starlight processing - it looks to me like it is bad mpeg encoding - too low of a bit rate at the beginning. The artifacts are consistent with bad compression. I might be that Starlight operated perfectly but Astra blew it during the encoding stage. Anyway, you might want to have a look at your processing and encoding pipeline.
