Png file sequence takes 2 seconds to import in Premiere and more than HALF AN HOUR in Video Enhance AI

I have a 400.000 png file sequence that takes 2 seconds to import in Adobe Premiere and more than HALF AN HOUR in Video Enhance AI…

I think the problem has to do with in Adobe Premiere you just select the first frame and activate a “Image Sequence” checkbox, while in Topaz Video Enhance AI you have to select all the 400.000 files in the Open dialog and then click ‘Open’: https://i.imgur.com/CLyHJkr.png

And it’s not about Premiere being expensive and developed by Adobe, but how poorly Topaz’s VEAI handles sequence loading.

I could put VirtualDUB, which is free and developed by just 1 person, as an example of loading an image sequence.

It takes 5 seconds for the same sequence: https://i.imgur.com/VyJxVNz.png

Just open the first image in the sequence. VEAI knows to open all the rest when needed.
You might have to rename the images to be just numbers.

I did want to try VEAI on a single image once, and I could not get it to open it. I think that is because I didn’t name it a number, or because it won’t do just one image. Maybe the number has to have six digits minimum.
