Hi, I like the new Topaz Video, but Please put back in the option to manually enter Crop settings like you could with Video Ai. This is Very very important to my work flow as I am editing multiple videos in a series and need the crop to be at the exact same height and position. Before you could: Select crop ratios, enter manually crop settings x and y, and position x and position y. Now you can only do the ratio and crop settings, please please return position as an enterable option. Thanks! Also if that could be saved as some sort of crop preset that would be amazing and save me Loads of time since I could be doing 50 or 100 files that need the same settings.
I echo demoraesr’s post regarding the Crop interface. I’m taking the liberty of reposting a request I placed in the 1.3.0 forum but which I realize should have been placed here.
There were 4 other users who liked my post, one of whom, DannyEl, replied as follows. His take is slightly different but his request is the same.
So, please bring back the boxes. ![]()
I have voted for this. However, I’m going to report this under Bugs and Issues unless someone else does. There can be no justification for Topaz intentionally removing the ability to view and set the X and Y crop offsets.
In the meantime, you could edit the project file as it’s just text in JSON format. Search for an instance of “ROI” within the data for the relevant video file(s). In there you will see the X and Y (offset) values along with width and height. While the app isn’t running, you can edit those as you wish and then save.
Note that 4 other values: left, right, top, bottom appear to be redundant. I removed them without any consequence for v1.3.1.
