Topaz Video Bugs and Issues

  1. When upscaling with Topaz Video (I know there is a later version but install after I complete the current project) From SD to FHD using Starlight Sharp, I get the split window not showing the upscale when in the main window, but it shows this in the Export Queue Window.

  2. System is Dell Precision 7780

1st with Main Window. Also a delay in playback, audio and video out of sych., but OK on output

2nd with Export Window

Correction: -

1st Window is in Export Queue mode and

2nd Window is the Main Window

I add while here, that the end result is as good as if this had been film in 4K and brought back to FHD. I export to Blu Ray hence conversion to FHD

The delay you are seeing is that in the export queue preview while the file is exporting out?

You mention that the export is fine its just the preview that is out of sync, correct?

When I view the Export Queue Window, it is generally OK. On some upscaling a little delay using Side by Side Windows.

In the main window the two WERE the same, that is no upscale in the right hand window. Also in Synch.

However, the upscale video is correct on play back outside of Topaz.

Upon completion of that project, I restarted the computer for a software update that was advised, but not applicable. So computer is unchanged..

Now, on a new Project. In this case, also better contrasts, and in the Window (Not export queue), we can see the upscale, especially where there is a water surface.

I see that since starting this Project, the is a new Patch to install.

Will advise, if I encounter the same again.

Rest assured, the Software output is very good. Generally going from SD to FHD pixel density, but still in the SD window equivalent. Thereason bring, output is put on BluRay Disks, so FHD is thelimitation
