PhotoAI Replaces DeNoise/Sharpen/Gigapixel?

I currently own DeNoise, Sharpen and Gigapixel. I have never installed PhotoAI, even though it was available for download in my account. I am ready to renew the annual maintenance, and it seems like PhotoAI is where everything is going.

I use Lightroom Classic for most of my editing (sometimes Ps as well). Does PhotoAI fit the Lightroom Classic workflow the way the individual apps did?

Does PhotoAI use the same AI engines as the individual apps?

If you renew the annual maintenance, does it still include all three apps plus PhotoAI? or are they separate licenses/plans now?

Thanks

Ask the question by raising a support request at the main website, this is a user to user forum.

I think it is still a good question for the user forum.

I received a dozen Black Friday sale emails from Topaz, every day, since last Wednesday ( a good way to inspire users to unsubscribe). I already own both Photo AI and Video AI, but all this spam was asking me to also buy a bundle of Gigapixel AI, Denoise AI, and Sharpen AI. It seems to me like all those functions are already included in Photo AI.

I searched all over the main Topaz Labs web site trying to find any information at all that would compare the features of Photo AI, Gigapixel AI, Denoise AI, and Sharpen AI side-by-side. Nothing. Zip. Nada. No mention of whether Photo AI replaces these products, or if these other products do things that Photo AI does not.

Now, I’m sure Topaz Labs would love to have as many people as possible buy every product they have. But it seems like a waste of money.

Does anyone here, in this user forum, own Photo AI and Gigapixel AI and Denoise AI and Sharpen AI, and think it is worth having all of them? If so, why?

Thanks.

I am definitely disappointed in the lack of clarity on this. I did open a support ticket and got a brief explanation:
“We have added the features from the older apps into Topaz Photo AI with updated AI models and some other new features (color balance, lighting adjustment and an eraser tool). Since it is using different AI models the results can be slightly different than the older stand alone apps”

After some research, what I have come to understand is that DeNoise and Sharpen are no longer being developed, but GigaPixel might be. Photo AI is supposed to replace all of them eventually. PhotoAI uses a different AI engine than the individual apps. Like you, I received many “Black Friday” emails (a dozen might be an underestimate). One of them was to upgrade PhotoAI, VideoAI, Denoise, Sharpen and Gigapixel. If the three individual apps really are not being developed, then I’m not really happy that they would let me pay for them at this point. (Hence… clarity?)

I briefly tried PhotoAI and it is not as complete as the individual Apps. From what others have said, it can be hit or miss on the results. I was not impressed with it.

So at this point, I am not going to upgrade. I have always been very happy with the Topaz products, but it seems like they are in a weird transition period from the individual apps to PhotoAI. At least I hope that is the case and eventually it will catch up. At that point, i’ll sign back up. In the meantime, I’ve been getting really good results with Adobe LrC’s new AI denoise and enhance (when it can be used).

Thanks for sharing!

That is interesting info that should be shared publicly instead of asking everyone that wants to know to start their own support ticket!

I guess their answer kind of makes sense. So for me, it seems like sticking with Photo AI and waiting for it to catch up to the individual apps makes more sense. But if I were a professional photographer, I might want to buy the individual apps.

Thanks again!
