Photo AI recover faces from very old yearbook scans - I'm impressed!

My wife’s aunt asked me to produce some prints from scans of old high school yearbook photos of her mother, my wife’s grandmother. The two scans were from her yearbooks for 1911 and 1914. The original scans were done on an Epson scanner/printer at 300dpi. The original images (attached) were both about 1-inch-by-1 inch in the yearbooks.
I processed them with Topaz Photo AI, v. 1.1.4. The processed images are 1200x1200 pixels.

I think that having it drawn by an artist will make it better than with these treatments!

You made a big improvement to the original.

I played with the one original post too. I used Ps Photo Restore & Colorize neural filters 1st, followed by Topaz PAI then GAI. I also added a soft square vignette.

Here’s what I got:

I also play with the original image :grinning:

Wow, I’m a newbe here and I’m impressed! Great work.
