Topaz DeNoise in PhotoAI is now blurring everything even on low setting such around 15.
Guy’s denim jacket has no detail, looks plastic.
Even on DeNoise AI it is the same.

So then for this specific image this must’ve always been the case - since DenoiseAI didn’t get an update for ages.
Was not doing before on my previous computer.
Thought DeNoise now did not lose detail?
Since the software is the same this seems quite implausible.
You’d have to show examples of how it was and how it is now.
How do l post images on here?
I have used DeNoise for years, never had this problem before.

Hi.
Was not doing before on my previous computer.
So, the only thing that’s changed is the Computer therefore, a hardware issue.
Your new computer’s CPU/GPU is probably interpolating the image differently from your previous computer
Yes but why making such a mess, I thought a better gpu would improve matters, not make them worse.
Other software I’m using is not a problem, before or after, it is just Topaz.
A “better” GPU doesn’t change the output in any way (hardware and/or driver issues apart) but only delivers the same result faster.
Are you really sure that the output was different before with the same PAI version?
Maybe you’re seeing sharpen V2 vs. V1 differences? So you might try to revert to an earlier version and see how that works.
I was talking about DeNoise. But yes Sharpen Ai is now a mess.
Similar applies to Denoising in TPAI (this is a thread about PhotoAI as per the threads title) where they introduces RAW normal V2 and RAW strong V2 for denoising.
So: in TPAI it could be due to changes in the models in the meantime. If you really see a difference in the standalone Denoise AI app there must be a problem outside of Topaz e.g. with gfx card drivers or such as this software didn’t change.
P.S.: We’d still need examples of before / after with the exact same software and the exact same setting.
Sometimes one tends to see things only after you first noticed them and then see them everywhere claiming it wasn’t there before which doens’t hold up if you look again at the old images.
We had that with the tiling issues in TPAI where some people were screaming: Oh, Gigapixel was sooo much superior - but if you do look again, the tiling issue was already there in GP…
This is DeNoise in PAI, i think I would have noticed large areas blurred in my images before. How can I get the exact same settings as before, I don’t know which version it was as Topaz do so many updates all the time.
I will have to try it out on some images which were fine.
I’m getting so fed up with Topaz, never had problems before. My other software runs fine, just as before but is faster now.
You can maybe check by the “last modified” date of the last successful denoised image. Then try the last TPAI version that was released before that date.
