The above post to the Video AI list claims that Photo AI runs in a virtual machine (VM) but has issues with Video AI. I have a MS Win 10 VM under VirtualBox and a separate one under VMware Workstation Pro, both under Ubuntu 24.04, each application and operating environment is the current production release. Under both, DxO Photolab Elite has run for years through many new releases. The current versions of both Photo AI and Gigapixel AI do not run. Photo AI starts with the “circle” but crashes and never opens. Gigapixel AI starts, open, accepts a JPEG image file, starts the process, then crashes. This behaviour started right after I renewed my licenses for each Topaz application. Anyone successfully running either Topaz application under a Linux host with a MS Win guest under a VM? If so, please comment. From the above URL, it appears the Photo AI should run. Thanks for any assistance.
