Photo AI Consuming 11GB of Additional Swap Memory on M2 Mac Mini?

I am aware and before any one jumps into tell me that AI driven Processes consume a lot of Memory I am fully aware about it. But still wanted to know if anyone here has the M2 Mac Mini with 16GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD and the other day I was using Photo AI and applying the recommended emhancements that Auto-Pilot suggested and in the process, the Memory Pressure was all in Yellow and around 11GB of Swap Memory being used ? is this normal ? It is a recently prochased computer and before buying I did my research and almost everyone advised and suggested with my kind of usage and rare Photo Editing 16GB RAM is just the correct RAM That I need. But then I see this, around 11GB of Swap Memory being used that kind of makes me dissappont an Ace/ Trump Card which was not supposed to fail. How did it go such Lack Lustre ? 11GB of Swap Memory being used is Mammoth ! isn’t it ?
Your thoughts ?

What types of edits are you trying to implement on your images? I will note that AI processing takes a large amount of memory, especially if you are Upscaling or using the Remove Tool.

But in the range of 11GB ? That is preposterous ?

I was applying all the Enhancements Recommendations that Auto-Pilot was suggesting me and apart from that Recover Face and Sharpening.

This is so basic should it be hogging this much memory for such tasks ?

I’d like to see if a clean install will help troubleshoot the problems you are having with this memory consumption. Please follow the directions below:

  1. Be sure you have fully closed any plugins, such as Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, etc.
  2. Clear any previous plist files on your computer for Topaz Photo AI | Topaz Photo AI | plist Files Mac
  3. Disable any antivirus, firewall, VPN, or proxy software that might be active on your computer. These tools sometimes interfere with the installer’s ability to download the model files.
  4. Ensure that the Topaz Photo AI installer has all the proper settings in your system by going to your Mac System Settings > Privacy & Security tab and scrolling down to the security section. You will want to make sure you have ‘App Store and identified developers’ selected | MacOS | Example of Proper System Preferences
  5. Rerun the installer. You can download a new installer from your account’s download page | Topaz Labs | My Account | Download Page

Let me know how that goes for you and I’ll keep an eye out for your reply.

When go into my Finder Window>and from there >GO and then type ~Library/Preferences I do not see any Topaz Photo AI Plist there check this screen recording.
