After already adjusting defaults for less sharpening, which is almost always what Autopilot prefers on my files, I delete sharpening and choose denoise, select values of 10 and 85-90 for denoise and deblur, respectively - usually resulting in a very pleasing outcome with better noise reduction (usually only apparent in open areas like sky anyway), and more realistic and gentle sharpening. The starting images are pretty sharp, low/moderate-noise Sony a1 files. I don’t mind the workaround but it sure seems unnecessary.
You can go to Preferences > Autopilot > Sharpen to adjust your default settings to accommodate your typical workflow
